I have been teaching ISR self-rescue since 2017 and have taught over 300 students in the Sumner County area. While it is my mission that "Not One More Child Drowns," I believe that students can enjoy the water while respecting it. Using the "skills before thrills" approach, lessons are structured to learn curriculum 4 days per week, then have Friday Fundays to put those skills to use through play. Parents are encouraged to sit poolside during lessons and join us in the water for a couple lessons during the session.
Lessons are currently offered in a private, heated saltwater pool on Shute Lane with a restroom on site. This is an outdoor location with lessons offered seasonally April-September. Lessons are 10 minutes per day, 5 days per week for approximately 6 weeks.
Each ISR lesson is custom-tailored to your child, teaching them the self rescue swimming skills that are developmentally appropriate through one-on-one lessons.
Learn MoreDid you know that drowning is the leading cause of death in children under age 5? But it doesn't have to be! ISR teaches each student independent skills in the water so they can swim, float, and self-rescue - building the foundation for a lifetime of safe enjoyment of the water!
